Terms of Service

1. Who we are
CommentCraft is a writing tool for classroom teachers, operated by Kingshire Education. These Terms govern your use of the CommentCraft web application at app.commentcraft.org and the marketing site at commentcraft.org.
2. The service
CommentCraft helps teachers draft report card comments and parent emails. You provide information about a student (name, grade, performance level, etc.) and the tool generates a draft for you to review and edit before using. The generated text is a starting point — you are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving any content before it is shared.
3. Data and privacy
No student data is stored on our servers. Information you enter into CommentCraft (student names, grades, notes) is sent to our generation service to produce a draft and is not retained after your session ends. We do not build profiles of students or teachers, and we do not sell data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use CommentCraft only for its intended purpose: drafting professional teacher communications. You must not:
- Use the service to generate content intended to mislead, defame, or harm any individual
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service
- Share your account credentials with others outside your school
- Use the service in violation of your school's acceptable-use policies
5. Accounts and access
Access to CommentCraft beyond the free tier requires a one-time purchase. Your access is tied to the email address used at checkout. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
6. Payments and refunds
All purchases are processed securely through Paddle. Pricing and refund terms are described in our Refund Policy.
7. Intellectual property
The CommentCraft application, interface, and underlying technology are owned by Kingshire Education. The text you generate using CommentCraft is yours to use as you see fit — we make no claim to it.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
CommentCraft is provided "as is." We make no guarantee that generated text will be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your specific context. Always review generated content before use. To the extent permitted by law, Kingshire Education's liability for any claim arising from use of CommentCraft is limited to the amount you paid for your current access period.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of CommentCraft after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will not retroactively apply material changes to users who have already purchased access.
